Trematic

Trematic is the watchmaking Maison founded in Geneva that wrote important pages in the history of Swiss haute horlogerie. In the 1950s and '60s the brand stood out for its extraordinary complications — moon phases, triple calendars — and for prestigious collaborations with some of the most important names in watchmaking and jewellery. Like many Swiss manufactures, the quartz crisis of the 1980s marked the end of an era. But Trematic's story was not meant to close there: in 2022 the brand was reborn — a new chapter carrying the legacy of watchmaking's golden age, with its eyes on the future.

An important part of that legacy runs through its movements. Most vintage Trematic watches were powered by Felsa automatic calibres — the historic Grenchen company whose movements were among the first, after the expiry of the Rolex patent, to adopt the bidirectional winding rotor: a revolutionary innovation at the time, now standard on every automatic movement in the world.

The reborn brand's mission is clear: to create a timepiece that is mechanically reliable, balanced in its proportions, elegant in form and refined in its materials — one that interprets the present while honouring the values of the past. Trematic watches are Swiss Made, crafted by a principle that is at once simple and ambitious: fine finishing and high-level manufacturing at a fair price.
